The Silent Killer

Well, it's that time of the week again when I let you have sneak peak of an image from That's Logic.

This week is the turn of the lovely digital artist, Tigz Rice.

I had to chase her to get this image from her, but I think it was well worth it!

I love the inky watery effect on this.

Tigz's latest picture book 'Bitten' is out August 7th 2010, and you can pre-order your copy now! Or you could buy me one for my birthday as I am somewhat short of pennies at the moment :)

Check out Tigz at www.tigzrice.com to keep up with all her projects
or go chat to her on twitter at http://twitter.com/Tigzy - she doesn't bite that much!

Blast From The Past and How It All Began....

I'm sorting through some of my old work on Flickr and I've just come across some work from my final major project from last year. I made a typographic book of poems from both 'Alice in Wonderland' books.  I called it 'That's Logic'.

I called it 'That's Logic' because Tweedledee and Tweedledum say it quite a few times and well to be fair, there's no logic anywhere in the books and neither was there in my book.

I was going to re-do my book but never got the time to do so, so gave the name to this 'zine instead!

Here's the logo and what would have been the front cover if it had have been bound differently.

Check out my flickr page to see some of the original works that went into that book. Maybe one day i will re-visit them properly and make the book all over again, or even put some of the pieces in a zine....

The Face Of Issue #1

A massive thank you goes to Richard Gladman and Lou Taylor for this beautiful front cover.

I believe this was the first time they had collaborated and it has led to more opportunities to do so. Check out the Creative Boom Brighton banner celebrating it's birthday with more tasty papery cakes.

For more of their individual works visit

Richard Gladman or email him at hello [at] richardgladman.co.uk

Lou Taylor or email her at lou [at] lou-taylor.co.uk

Can't wait to see future projects from them both!
Thanks guys! :)

That's Logic That Is....

Okay, so I know a lot of people don't use or particularly like Facebook so I will use this blog as one of the main ways of keeping everybody up to date with what is happening with the zine.

At present, I am trying to find the time to get all the amazing work into a layout in InDesign ready for printing. I am aiming to get this done at the beginning of next week.

So in the next post I will get posting some of the work that designers have sent in ........

Thanks for reading

Nicola
